Zora cofounder Jacob Horne announced internal "process changes" following controversy around a now-deleted @TysonFury account on the crypto social app. The account, which had a tied creator coin, was promoted by Horne before being removed amid rugpull allegations.

Blockchain analyst ZachXBT identified the incident as a "celeb coin rug" linked to trader Sahil, who has a history of promoting celebrity-themed tokens with exit scams. Emails showed Sahil attempted to schedule meetings with Zora's team before the project's cancellation.

The incident highlights ongoing challenges with celebrity-linked tokens in Web3 platforms, particularly around accountability for bad actors exploiting social features for financial manipulation.
